Position Overview:

StreetWise Partners is seeking a dynamic and experienced Interim Program Director/Consultant to lead our Washington, D.C. metro mentoring program through a period of transition. With a strong legacy spanning 19 years, the program has been a cornerstone of workforce development in the region. However, recent staff turnover and underperformance have created challenges that require immediate leadership and strategic intervention, to ensure operational excellence.

This is a short-term, part-time contract engagement lasting 3 to 5 months (April 2025 through August 2025), with the possibility of extension. The role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring three days per week, including a minimum of two days on-site. The contractor can expect to work an average of 21 hours per week.

This position reports to the Chief Program Officer and is based in Washington, DC.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Program Revitalization & Strategy: Lead the effort to reinvigorate and strengthen the D.C. workforce mentoring program, ensuring enrollment targets are met and program launches successfully in September.
  • Interim Leadership: Serve as the regional lead, bridging the transition until a new full-time Senior Program Director is hired.
  • Team Management & Culture Building: Directly oversee a team of three full-time staff and one part-time contract workshop facilitator, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Mentee Recruitment & Partnerships: Advise the Manager of Client Services on developing and executing innovative recruitment strategies to enroll 60 mentees for the September 2025 cohort. Identify and cultivate new partnerships to increase participation from local public colleges and hard skills training programs.
  • Mentor Recruitment & Engagement: Support the Manager of Volunteer Services in refining strategies to recruit and engage 75 high-impact mentors for the September 2025 cohort.
  • Marketing & Outreach: Provide strategic input on marketing materials and messaging to effectively attract mentees and mentors.
  • Program Readiness & Execution: Ensure all program elements are prepared and aligned for a successful September 2025 launch.
  • Curriculum Oversight: Attend bi-monthly workshops to ensure high-quality curriculum delivery and provide mentorship oversight.
  • Data-Driven Impact Measurement: Oversee the collection and analysis of key program data, including demographics, job placement rates, and post-graduation salary growth, tracking progress up to one year after completion.

  • An excellent relationship-builder who can engage corporate, educational, and community partners to drive recruitment and program success.

Salary

  • $125 - $150 Hourly
